Week 1:Youth consultation on the experiences of youth when preparing to migrate
Following the positive experience of the 2011 WYR, the WYR 2013 will also be an online interactive publication (see www.unworldyouthreport.org for example). Starting January 15, 2013 the UN Focal Point on Youth will organize a number of interactive activities (i.e. survey and youth migration consultations, Google+Hangout with young people and experts, etc.) that will aim at allowing young migrants and other youth affected by migration to share their experiences on migration.
The United Nations will be organizing the 2nd High Level Dialogue on Migration and Development in October 2013. The final WRY report could offer young people, youth-led organizations and young migrants as well as policy-makers, academia and the general public a youthful perspective on the challenges and opportunities that migration presents for young people.
